I first called Sue Connolly out, three years ago, to a mare who I felt was never happy in herself, despite having no history of major injuries. She was a known ‘napper’ and the first day I rode her she had me off within 200 yards. Yet her attitude on the ground and manners were so good I couldn’t understand it!
EMRT – which at first really zonked her out – finally got to the core problem. Sue released tight muscles in the shoulder and sternum area, and the mare now jumps much more freely. As a result she has run consistently well this season under National Hunt rules, even when the ground became firm.
I am so grateful to Sue for helping me to find the key to such a lovely mare, and will continue to use her in the future. Sue offers as much time as is needed to assess and treat the horse on the day, as well as selflessly sharing her knowledge and experience.
